Coldplay + So Many Other - Mashing Viva La Vida Loca
Written by huerzo

Sometimes is nice to go extreme. In the mashing context it means mashing many songs into one "base song". As far as I know the most well known "serial masher" is a dj named Norwegian Recycling.

Couple weeks ago I heard Coldplay's Viva La Vida and I recognized immediately it's chord progression is somehow familiar. Couple of years I ago I mashed Pet Shop Boys' "Home and dry" into Alizee's "J'en ai marre" and those both would fit well into VLV also. (For those who're interested, listen "Home and marre".)

But it would be just too easy.

Beta: Akon vs. Queen vs. Whitney Houston - I Try To Learn Best Love

And now something completely different. I usually avoid mashing rap songs because they're often "too easy". No challenge. Peanuts. (Oh yeah, another reason is that rap genre isn't the one that appeals me most :) )

Youtube contains these days a good collection of different acapellas and I was lucky to find out that there are even some Queen acapellas, which are kind of treasures to me. Even Queen's "Get Down Make Love" is not one of my favourite songs, I thought acapella might fit into some rap song. And it did. Some old Whitney mashed into the cocktail and voilá!

Tell me youngsters, is it ok?

Beta: AC/DC vs. Rolling Stones - Can't Get T.N.T!

Oh, it's a summertime and everything is...easy?  Well, if you ask AC/DC, you need to blow something by using a T.N.T load to finally get the satisfaction level you want.

YouTube-links available to the original content as usual.

AC/DC - T.N.T (vocals)
AC/DC - Shoot To Thrill (vocals)
Rolling Stones - (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction (instumental + backing vocals)

(I wasn't able to find a real instrumental version of "Satisfaction", so you have to cope with a lamer karaoke version. But you'll get the idea. BTW, I highly recommend Otis Redding's version of "Satisfaction". Groovy.)

And finally: trigger my mind-blowing explosive compound and click this text.
